Flower Symbols Copy & Paste

Flower symbols to copy and paste: Unicode florettes and every emoji bloom — roses, tulips, cherry blossoms, lotus and more.

About flower symbols

Unicode flowers split into text florettes and emoji blooms. The florettes ❀ ✿ ❁ (U+2740 and neighbours) are 1990s dingbats that render in your font colour and have decorated Myspace-era bios right through to today's cottagecore ones. The emoji blooms arrived later — 🌸🌹🌻 with the first emoji sets, and the lotus 🪷 as recently as 2022 — and each carries its own meaning: cherry blossom for softness, rose for romance, lotus for calm.

Frequently asked questions

Which flower symbol is best for a bio?+

For a soft, text-native look use the florettes ❀ or ✿ — they match your font and never look cartoonish. For colour, 🌸 (cherry blossom) is the aesthetic default and 🌷 (tulip) is the coquette one.

What does ❀ mean?+

Nothing semantic — it's the "black florette" dingbat (U+2740), a five-petal flower drawn as a text character. It's been in Unicode since 1.1, which is why it works on essentially every device.

What does the lotus 🪷 symbolize?+

The lotus means calm, growth and purity in several Asian traditions, and it's the go-to bloom for zen and yoga-flavoured bios. It's a newer emoji (Unicode 14, 2022), so phones from before ~2022 may show a box instead.
